Christmas Party

A great time was had by all at the kindergarten Christmas party!  Thank you to all involved with the planning!  The kids really appreciated it!

One of the games was to wrap a child with toilet paper to make him/her into a snowman.

The food was delicious!

Opening presents was a highlight!

Rascal!

Some have "Elf on a Shelf" and we have "Rascal in the Room".  He is looking pretty festive these days and he has been hiding in the room each morning.  He tells about his adventures and he sometimes brings a surprise!  We love Rascal!

New Chromebooks

The kids love their new Chromebooks and
they work on educational sites nearly every day.

The kids were so thrilled to find a site
where they used tanagrams to make birds.

Christmas Concert Evening

The kids looked so cute all dressed up for their Christmas
program on Friday evening.  I thought they did a
very good job singing at their first concert!

Christmas Art

Using Q-tips the kindergartners painted birds.

The Christmas tree is painted with each child's
hand print and they they got to add the details
to their own tree.

Some of the artwork decorates the hallway.
Here is our class Christmas tree!

Surprise!

My new friends that have a Guatamalan connection surprised my students and I with some gifts!  We received a beautiful oil painting of the Resplendent Quetzal and each child received their very own small quetzal toy.  They were thrilled!  We went to the smart board to do a little research on this bird. Here is a link for you to check out.  It is very beautiful!  ARKive-Resplendent Quetzal
This beautiful, long-tailed bird is the national
bird of Guatemala.  It is on their flag and
currency.

The kids were enthralled with this bird.

At play time, one of the boys drew the bird!
Very nice!
